Dr. Mona Spiegel is a Licensed Psychologist who has provided psychological services to the Monsey, NY community for over 25 years. She opened her coaching practice in 2004 to address the concerns of the vast majority of women who seek help but do not need therapy. She completed a rigorous program at MentorCoach, a coach training institute for mental health professionals that satisfies the requirements of the International Coaching Federation (ICF), and became a Certified Life Coach.

Coaching is particularly suited to adults and teens who do not suffer from emotional illness but who can profit from professional help in reaching their goals or attaining a sense of well-being. Effective coaching requires proficiency in its unique skills. Dr. Spiegel intuitively grasps what each client needs to achieve her goals and then empowers the client to follow through and succeed. Unlike psychotherapy, coaching sessions take place on the telephone.

Dr. Spiegel’s expertise on issues pertaining to women, parenting and families is recognized beyond the Monsey community. She has been interviewed by ABC, FOX TV News and USA Today. Dr. Spiegel also publishes articles in various magazines and conducts in-person and teleconference workshops (see Dr. Spiegel’s Presentations).

Dr. Spiegel earned two Masters Degrees and a Doctorate in Educational Psychology from Columbia University. Prior to establishing her private practice in Monsey, she worked as a school psychologist in public and private schools in Montgomery County, MD and Rockland County, NY. Dr. Spiegel is a member of both the American Psychological Association and the International Coach Federation.
